Loving the Silence

I'm going to start this post like so many of us are thinking:

"I cannot believe it's August ALREADY!?!? Where does the time go?!?!"

So here's what is currently happening:

So here's my short explanation to go with it all:

listening: there is nothing on in our apartment right now! Awesome! 

loving: We leave for Colorado on Thursday and have stops planned in Vegas, Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park. Then off Colorado. On the way home we will stop at the Grand Canyon and then straight back to sunny so cal! 

thinking: packing, laundry, dr. appointment, hair apointment, blogging, Autism Authorization work, errands and more! Gotta get it all done! 

wanting: I have an itch to shop. I particularly would like a maxi dress or two, some new tops, maybe a few new pants or skirts.... just wanting to shop! 

needing: I wish that my lesson plans would plan themselves! Summer is not the same when you have to crack something like that open at some point!

And I have spent way too much time on my pinterest boards looking for things to add into my repertoire! Love that site! I makes teacher work a bit easier!

What I'm Doing NOW!

So... this month Farley posted the link up early and so it seems like I'm late, but its only the 2nd! This is earlier than normal for me! Oh well either way, this party is fun! Link up with us! 

listening: The news and a wash that I have had to re-wash 2x! Gotta stop forgetting the laundry! 

loving: That's right people: I'm still teaching! Summer school is almost over! 

thinking: I need to not be so concerned about the moola factor and take a vacation with my hubby who needs the break! 

wanting: While my hubs and I would love a really awesome European adventure that is not what we are getting! WE are gonna head out on a road trip and visit his grandmother in Delta, Colorado! 

needing: I started the cleaning and organization of my desk today and will continue with the planning, organizing, etc until summer school ends! 

tips, tricks, or hints: With all the stuff that I am cleaning out, I wish i had put an organization system into place ahead of time! Oh well, it's not too late! But thought i would give a kind reminder to just do it, your sanity may depend on it!

Mish Mash Emotions

Ugh enough with my radio silence! This week there will def be some time to get back to blogging! This girls has had some pretty interesting weeks! And it seems now that I'm craving blogging rather than wanting to just curl up on the couch! 

So here's my currently for June!

- Lots of craziness in my head right now! From issues with buying a home to how much my laundry needs to be done, to how long it will take me to complete the end of the year tasks, to whether we should buy a house now or wait... or ...geez so much running through this noggin! (There's more thn what i have mentioned, but you get the picture!)

- Yep, 1.5 days! Then Mondaywe begin our summer school program. Six weeks and then a 5 week BREAK!!!! CAN.NOT.WAIT!!!!! 

-I think my emotional state has been directly related to this house hunt! I have not lost hope and nor has my husband, but it is definitely taking its toll. 

-See above explanation. If any of you can find a house with those specifications in Orange County in our price range, then I would be more than happy to look at the place! Hopping and praying! Oh and fingers crossed too! 

-With all this saving for a house, a vacation has been on the back burner  But I'm tellin' ya, a weekend or even a one night getaway would do the trick for sure! My hubby and I truly love to travel and it has been wayyyyyy toooooo long! 

-And my essentials for travel:

A good book ... maybe like this one:

My cell phone to communicate with those i love and care for. 

And my iPad, cause I love that thing and it is so useful in so many ways! 

That sums up this moment, for sure! 

Such a mish mash of emotions today.

Currently Wanting a House

I've be late to this party before, but of course here is my monthly currently! 

So here's some explanation to go with that super cute graphic! 

I decided while we are forced to watch hooked on Netflix  why not watch this show from the beginning. I never got it and I was always told that if you watched from the beginning it would all make sense. So far, I agree! One episode down and something like 159 to go! 

My mom is super skinny lately and I am not! However, i have lost enough to fit into her old pants! She had some white jeans that i have actually been wanting and I fit! Yahoo for free pants! 

This house shopping thing has been so tough. It can bee really stressful and heartbreaking but yet exciting and exhilarating all that the same time. It is nerve racking and sad, expensive and scary. Too many emotions to count! We both just really want to own a place of our own like NOW! 

Yep, just want to be in our house ... no explanation needed there! 

I watched a movie called Breaking Upwards and really enjoyed it! Hubby is napping which makes him happy too and then we both have some down time. Super nice! 

MY summer bucket list: 

1. I want to read a bunch!

2. Lord willing we will find a place and we will getto move while I am on summer break or even while I am still teaching summer school! 

3. Time with family and friends. And who knows if we are moving into a house that needs work it might meanthat we are spending time together working on our house! We will see how it all goes!

April Currently

Here's my currently for the month of April! 

Side Note: Can you believe it's already April???!??!? Summer's just around the corner! 

Listening: yep TMZ is on ... there was a funny conversation about Dodger dogs v. Angel Dogs.... pretty funny! 

Loving: We have been doing nothing but researching and researching and then doing that all over again! I think we are about ready to make offers but our bank account is about 4 weeks behind! In short, if something comes available at the beginning of May this couple will be ready to offer away! Key word to focus on there: IF! Either way, I am pretty excited and praying for it all to work out before our lease is up! 

Thinking: There is definitely a stench coming from the TurboTax program on hubs' computer! Mostly because we owe a bunch this year! Ugh! 

Wanting: More time for spring break .. ummm who doesnt?

Needing: Yep, homework that is self paced only leaves me feeling far behind ALWAYS! 

Advice: This one's for the bloggers out there... don't worry about the numbers, just enjoy and then the readers will show up!

2013 March Currently

Here's is my March Currently! 

I don't think this one needs much explanation! 

But here are a few brief notes:

-I have lost 11.6 lbs and am starting to need some new pants. I think i can wait a little longer, but soon! 

-Meal prep takes time and it almost all got done today! (For the whole week!) 

-My Autism Authorization has been started but lots of work still to be done! 

-Let's just explain this stupidity thing: I hate people that may have some common sense but then fail to show their smarts in simple situations. On the road this is especially aggravating!

February already?

A quick extra post... just for fun! 

I cannot believe that it is already February! 

Most of this is self explanatory, but I will explain the pet peeves. 

Tags sticking out - i hate even thinking about a person's tag sticking out of their shirt. It bugs me just cause i always just want to stick it back in! I always have the conversation in my head of whether i know the person well enough to tuck their tag in for them. I have been known to stick a  complete stranger's tag in! 

Laziness at work - do i need ot explain this one? I will say though that i feel like i have been a bit lazy lately! Just can't seem to get into a groove since we got back from Winter break! 

Not being able to sleep in - this needs NO explanation!

One Little Word

Can you believe that a new month is here already? 

That means it is time for another currently! 

(I missed last month! So sad!) 

Anyway, not gonna miss this month at all! 

Nope not one bit! 

Here are my notes: 

-Hubby usually works from home on Fridays which means i get to hear all hte stressful callw when i am home from work! 

-Truly LOVE that we still have one more week off! 

-This morning has been really productive! I am writing this blog post 2 days in advance and I already have a post scheduled for tonight, plus i baked this morning! 

-Yep, that's right, i am in need of a new pair of jeans! MY ann Taylor LOFT gift cards should come in handy for this! And i just love Toms! Who wouldn't want another pair!?

-Not even close to being done with this book, but i don't mind if my book clubbers spoil it! WIth the move and scratching my cornea, all the time i had set aside to read was just gone! 

-My One Little Word? Rest! this means so many things to me right now! It means that i need to take the time to reast instead of busying myself all the time! It means that i need to rest in the knowledge that the Lord will take care of my husband and I. I also need to rest in the grace that He offers so freely! And also, when it comes to finding a house, i need to rest my fears and go about it strategically, rather than stressing at every turn!  

That one little word is what i am leaving you with on this Sunday! 

REST!

Currently Needing Sleep

Hey there! 

I cannot believe it, but it is NOVEMBER, people! Where has the year gone!?!

So here's my currently for this month! 

The music part .... here's my explanation! With special ed kiddos, we have tried to put music on and it really works for a short period of time when there are only a few kiddos, but for the most part it eventually becomes a huge distraction. Its almost like the music just adds a little bit of agitation  Hence, i only really play music when i am alone, and usually only in the morning before the craziness of the day! That's the reason for my big ol' sad face! 

Off to go follow the rule of three and then head to bed. Finger crossed that i am not getting sick, though i already feel kinda crummy! Medicine here i come! 

A Fall Currently

Hey all!

My book that i mention is actually just based on the fact that i taught my kiddos about Johnny Appleseed! I used a strategy from GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design) called a Narrative Input chart. This is where a story is read to the students, but instead of the pages being used like a book, the pictures are shown to the students and the words are on the back of each page for the teacher to read. Then as the story is read the pictures are posted up on a background. In this case we used an apple drawing as a background. I don't have pictures of the pictures i used but i will take some and then share with you all ASAP! FYI, my kiddos loved learning abut Johnny Appleseed! I had a blast too!

Travel on the Brain!

Here's my Currently link up with Farley over at Oh Boy Fourth Grade! 

The last little bit there is about where I wish i could go.... definitely wish Europe was on the agenda soon, but  I am way excited about Alaska and Seattle! This year we have done only local traveling. We went to Palm Springs back in November and also had two other weekend trips that were both pretty great! One was to San Diego to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and the other was a trip for a friend's 30th birthday in Paso Robles! Those trips were all great! Can't wait to travel again with my hubs!

April Currently

Here's my monthly link up with Farley over at Oh Boy Fourth Grade. I may be a little late to this show, but alas, here I am once again! 

Let me explain the super power - I guess I would like to have this super power even in my classroom as well as at home. I feel that this would make my life so much easier and i would have waaaaaaaaay more time! Isn't time what we all wish we had more of? With chores being done so quickly just imagine how fast things would get done! I can see them now....  it would be like the scene in Mary Poppins where the children and Mary clean up the nursery! Ha! I wish! 

Anywho - while i am at it, I mentioned a new purse... any ideas where i can find a cute sturdy and not to expensive purse? If i can shop for it online would be great too! 

And... I'm "currently" in AZ!
