There Had To Be A First

So... this happened! My first one! And it only took one take!

Please excuse the strap on my tank top and the lack of wearing cute clothing! It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, and there was no fancy dressing!
Hope you enjoyed the vlog!

If you are interested in getting an invite from Influenster, please let me know! I'm happy to pass along an invite! Just email me at busyasaHB@gmail.com!

Have you ever tried any Mary Kay products? What did you think?

A Little Brown Box

Ugh... OK so I lied this week... call me guilty. I apologize for not truly returning to the blogging world. But let me say this, boy, oh boy how i have missed making my little posts. Nothing is wrong, just have had a crazy couple of weeks! I guess that's what i get for taking two days off!

So here's what my husband dug out of our mailbox the night we got back from our little trip!
It's my very first BIRCH BOX!!!!
So here's what I found inside:

From Left to Right: Orofluido Beauty Elixir, Color Club Nail Lacquer in Age of Aquarius, and Annick Goutal Eau d'Harien
So far, I have yet to use the first two products, but the perfume went on immediately. I thought to myself as i put it on that i felt like a little girl, once again. This was a great feeling after having just turned 32! (BTW I remember being given perfume samples when i was a little girl)
My Lifestyle Extra  is Tea Forte skin smart teas. These will be yummy! And will make my skin RADIANT! (Oh boy the kiddos  will think i am glowing! No, people, its just the tea!
I cannot wait to try these! Maybe this Saturday when the rain is said to come! A review to come for sure!

Top to bottom: One Love Organics Skin Savior Waterless Beauty Balm & Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint
So I have yet to use the tint, but the little tub of beauty balm smells great and seems so versatile. I am trying not to fall in love with it as one full size container is a bit costly! On the flip side I am really good at making things like this last!

Did you get a Birchbox this month? Is there a product you love already? Did we get anything that is the same?
So good to be back!

About the Bees

Alright this review is LONG over due!

Let me begin by saying that I have icky allergies and my interest in local bees products began a long time ago. I read/heard somewhere that local honey can help out with allergies because the bees gather pollen in the area and the more you consume, the more it can help you to build a tolerance to that same pollen that might be what you are breathing. The trick is to find the local honey.
Well, about a year and a half ago a friend and I went to an indie crafts fair called "Patchwork" (here's the link if you live in the LA/Orange County area. Basically, this is a fair with a bunch of local artisans. Most items are handmade or semi-handmade. So, when i saw the honey at the "Backyard Bees" booth i was enticed. I then began talking to the kind woman behind he counter and found out the hives are all local hives in the cities of Orange, Tustin, or Santa Ana. This hit the jackpot for me. I bought the honey and think it has been great! However, I don't consume it enough to have it really affect my allergies. Thank goodness for Claritin!
I have also fallen in love with their night creams, body balm, and lip dew. I really like the prairie grass scent and have come to like the citrus one as well. I love the product and typically use the lip dew on most days. I enjoy the refreshing scents and how all the products feel so natural. My one complaint is that there isn't more to buy! I think i have one of everything and it takes me a while to get through it all.

Anyway, if you want to learn more about their story, you can click here. But if not you can just visit their website or visit (for you Orange County Folk) visit the Whole Foods Market at The District Shopping Center. They now sell their honey! How awesome!

My High Five!

Tonight I am sharing 5 of my favorites! I am also taking this opportunity to link up with the ever-so-stylish Lauren over at From My Grey Desk. It's High Five for Friday

1. Backyard Bees products - truly I wish they made more stuff! HEre's a shot of a few of the items I have collected. (There's more info on Backyard Bees in a future post!) But for now, just know i love this stuff!

2. Another item that i have loved for a while is my Bare Minerals Cleanser and Moisturizer. I am unsure if this is the actual size sold, but I bought these two bottles after the Bare Minerals consultant convinced me it was a good deal by using it on my hand! Besides it was only $10 if i was buying a foundation powder - and it had happened that that is what i was there for. I have loved it ever since. I ration it and truly only use it on the weekends! I love the way the moisturizer smells! I almost want to eat it!

3. So i know I already posted about my Lemonades Girl Scout Cookies HERE - but these are awesome little bites of goodness! Yummy lemon iced shortbread cookies! The only problem with Girls Scout Cookies is that they go way too fast!

4. So this week my husband is definitely one of my favorite things! I know i posted about him earlier this week, just like the lemonades... but it seems that he has come through like my knight in shining armor. Last night when i needed a shoulder to cry on, encouragement, and just some support my husband came through once again.  He didnt try to solve my problem or explain it away, but this time he just listened and I felt so much relief in knowing that he cared to really listen and just let me get it out! I said it earlier, but he truly ROCKS! I married him for several reasons, but this week he has added to the list!

5. Last but not least and maybe a little minuscule in comparison to #4, are the new shoes I got a week or so ago... They are sufficiently broken in now and i must say that i am in love! They are cute and stylish and the best part is I can wear them to work with dress pants or jeans and I could even take off running in these as well. (Believe it or not I have had to chase kids quite often this school year.) So everyone meet my cut and comfy and not so frumpy teacher shoes ... LifeStride Darnell in Black!
I hope you all have had a great Friday! Thanks to Lauren who has this great link up every Friday!
