High Five 6.8.12

There was something about this week that really made it feel a bit different! Here are five reasons why it felt a bit different!

|one|

Three more days of school then a 2 day break before summer school begins on the 18th! But only three days to go after today of course! This is definitely on my mind! 

 |two|

I got my hair trimmed and there are no pictures of it but it's always the same cut....I do love it though! It feels so healthy!

|three|

Sunday, I slept in and got to sit by the pool an read with hubs! Love!

|four|

A baseball game with hubs last Friday made me a happy girl! What a fun game .... And I know I mentioned this before.... But there were cows! Too funny!

|five|

Awards for my school are officially printed! Love that I had sooooooooooo much help this year! Now on to the final finishing touches! Check out my post on award ideas to get an idea of what I have been typing, printing, and organizing all week!

High Five 5.11.12

Hey there! 

I am so GLAD it is the weekend! In fact, i am not even sure the word glad fits! I guess it does if glad means ear to ear grin! :D

So last weekend was eventful, and this weekend will be much more relaxing, but i thought this High Five could be slightly themed. So the theme this week is: Last Weekend! (Plus i will throw in one that was a fun week night event!)

Ranunculus flowers in my home and on my mind! I love these beauties and really enjoyed our trip down to see the Carlsbad Flower Fields last weekend with a few friends! Here are a few shots hub and i took!

Of course .... I love my new Coach Purse! Oh but i definitely love that my husband is so super sweet to top it off! 

Without him, who  knows where i'd be!

Seeing the video for Team Hoyt over the weekend was awesome and completely inspiring! I had tears rolling down my cheeks! What awesome super heroes! 

(BTW This video is 10 minutes long short, but truly worth it!)

|four|

Loved that last weekend the hubs and i got out and visited Disneyland! We have annual passes and try to go at least 1x a month. It had been a while but here we are when we stopped to people watch near the jungle cruise.

|five|

I went to my very first This American Life Live event last night! It truly was a fun time. If you are a listener of This American Life - it is completely worth the cost of the ticket! There are a few good laughs, some crazy dance routines, music that was even interactive, and of course, Ira! Click HERE for more info and tickets! It was also a great time because it was an evening with friends including Jami and Kristen!

If you do not listen to This American Life - now is the time to start! Its a pretty phenomenal show on public radio! So informative and you do not have to be liberal to listen to public radio!

I love that parent teacher conferences are all done and phew.... glad those are over! Also, five school days to go until my wonderful SPRING BREAK!!!

The nutella cookies I made this week were pretty delish! Here's what they looked like before they were eaten and here's where I found the recipe! (Turns out my original Pinterest pin was a joke! Yuck!)

|three|

Tomorrow my church is hosting a Dump Run - basically we (well not me, but teams of Terra Novans) are picking up junk as a free service to people. Trying to spread the love! I get to help make breakfast for all the teams going out tomorrow! Here's some pictures of the First Annual Dump Run from last year!

Baseball Season begins this week!!! Woo hoo! Opening day is Thursday and I am way stoked about htis. It will be awesome to watch baseball and even just to have it on in the background!!! Can't wait for the season to get going and see how the Angels will do!

This weekend we get to hang out with our Life Group friends and go BOWLING!!!! Awesome! Can't wait!
