Givin' it a Go!

I am often talking to inanimate things. Not usually out loud, but in my head i say little things. Lately, i talk a lot to the kitty cat. I love her so and think she truly understands what i am saying.maybe not, but oh well!  I also think about writing cryptic letters to my friends and family on this here blog. So i thought i would switch up my Friday post a bit and give Friday Letters a try. For those who don't know about this one ... its just a bunch of letters to say your piece and it happens to be a link up on Friday! You'll really get the hang of it if you click the link and see other Friday Letters at the bottom of this post. 

Dear Hubs, I cant wit until we are out of an apartment and have a real home that we own! Thanks for starting that process for us. I know i need a kick in the pants when it comes to huge decisions like that. 

Dear Apartment, We love you, but our time here is limited. 

Dear Classroom, Please, please, please, do not get more crazy. Even though i know i get two more new kiddos on Monday, I pray you remain as crazy calm as it has been. Please?!?

Dear Life Group, You all are amazing! Past and present members show their love and care and concern all the time! I am so blessed to have you in my life. I am so grateful for you all! 

Dear Bed, I can not wait to meet you tonight. We do not spend enough time together! 

Dear Students, i pray for each and every one of you! Please learn this year! Where you are weak may you grow stronger! I love you all and I am blessed to be your teacher!

Gone Buggy!

OK I've gone BUGGY! 

Today i am showing off some new additions to my classroom! Last year i did a transportation themed classroom I named all the tables (where we did our group work) different areas where vehicles would go. Here they are: 

My groups were all named after vehicles and the folders corresponded to these names. 

(I apologize, but i do not have pictures of my folders!) 

The groups were called:

The Cars

The Trucks

The Bull Dozers

The Buses

The Vans 

... and others that i do not recall! 

This year i have gone buggy! 

Here are my new signs that have already been hung:

 Plus, i used this border and these adorable bugs to make my border buggy! 

I will have to go around the room and take more photos, but here are some other elements that i used around the room!

I have a bunch of work still to do, like my folder for all my new groups which will of course be buggy names as well. So far, I have grasshoppers, bees, crickets, beetles, and i am sure there is at least one i am forgetting!

Fonts, fonts, fonts!

So late to this party ... but thought it was a fun chance to find some new fonts to add into my classroom decor for next year! 

I think i have decided on a bugs theme.... so all my groups will be named after bugs and i will be renaming all of our tables/areas with habitats for bugs! Can't wait! and i think i may offer them ALL as a freebie this time around! (Especially since my TPT store is not up and running!) 

Oh and i forgot to mention the font Skinny Jeans Solid (which i used for the title for the above graphic!) That font can be found on Dafont.com as well! 

I plan to put a few to good use right away. Elephants in Cherry Trees and Sketch Block are on the top of the list!! I want to use these for titles and especially for all my table/area signs for around the room! 

A red bucket, cinnamon cake, and Just skinny are just flat out guilty pleasures! But since i am new to making teacher resources, i figure a plain font or two cannot hurt! Can't wait to put these all to good use!

BTW I was nominated for another award! Holy Cow! This one is a big one and i am pretty stoked to get this one! I am not sure i have a chance at winning this award, but i am pretty flattered that i even got nominated! So how it works is that beginning on July 2nd and ends July 9th! Hi all! 

Boy, do i have so much to share!  Let me begin by giving a sneak preview! In the coming days/week you can expect to see this little blog back in action! Here's the upcoming list:

• A run down of my Arizona trip including a couple great restaurant reviews for the Phoenix area! 
• My Birch box came!!!! Woo Hoo!!! Its my first one and i am excited to use and just flat out receive this cool little box!
• A St. Patty's Day meal ... after the fact! (Currently bubbling away in the crock pot!) 
• Another recipe found on Pinterest... all packaged and ready to go to work! 
• A little from my classroom too! 
• Asking for a little help from my friends.... (singing the Beatles song in my head ... la la la)
