10 on Tues 3.12.13
Here's my 10 on Tuesday!
one
This video makes me cry every time i watch it! Love how sweet this daddy is!
two
Bella and Tara! Best buds!
The funny thing is my sister's name is Tara and she had a pet water frog named Bella when she was younger!
three
I kind of feel like everyday in my classroom I should wear a cape, but really it would get in the way!
Spring time in a classroom is always a whilrwind!
four
I went shoe shopping last weekend out of necessity and because it was my birthday. I got out of the shoe store with THREE PAIRS! This is amazing for me. I am entirely toooooooo picky about my shoe choices. They must be comfy, have good soles, not dig in, make my toes look cute, be in my size (which would seem easy but apparently many are size 7.5), be inexpensive, and come in either a shade of black or brown that i can make work with my wardrobe. Oh yeah, and another criteria is that I have to be able to chase after children in them. You should have seen the sales lady's face when i told her that!!!
five
On that note:
I think my cat clearly thinks this of me but does not need another cat for me to know it!
six
The time change thing is the worst on Monday, but this year it also fell on my birthday! To that i say: UGH! I must admit thought that i love the sunlight at the end of the day. Getting to work in darkness though stinks for the first week or so!
seven
My moment to complain: I want a house and I want it NOW! (Definitely screamed this just like the girl who turns into a blueberry in the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie) Home-ownership is gonna be such a breeze compared to this waiting game and then battling in this market!
eight
My husband is going fishing this weekend with work buddies... I am gonna miss the guy, but at the same time ready for a day to catch up!!! Gonna do a bunch of stuff!
nine
This diet I am on has been great! Lost a little more weight and even had my cheat day on Sunday!
ten
Finally, I have been able to log in to work on my Autism Authorization through Project Optimal. They re-did their website and I know I am not alone, but they messed up my log-in capabilities for a few weeks! It was so difficult ot get some help and now, I gotta get my butt in gear and get some work done! Off to work on a unit now!
Hope your Tuesday rocks!

Happies and Crappies 3.8.13
Gonna add this link up to the Friday rotation!
Have you seen it?
Here goes!
Happies
1. My birthday is this weekend! I will be 33! What better day to go to Disneyland than that?!? Dinner out with some friends and relaxing! So it is sure to be fun!
2. A somewhat calm work week was just what I needed!
3. Learning about Kimochi! It is a social emotional development program! I loved learning about it and really am hoping that my school will invest!
Check out this YouTube video! That lady came and talked with us about the program!
4. Thinking I might be investing in some NEEDED new shoes this weekend! DSW here I come!
5. Gonna go and look at a couple new properties with our realtor on Saturday too! I get a bit excited looking at places. It seems like it is getting close but yet so far away from making offers and buying a home!
Crappies
1. It's Friday.. that means a rough and hectic day in my classroom for sure!
2. Hubs and I decided that we will not be taking our annual birthday trip to Arizona for Spring Training this year because we care more about saving money and buying a house this year! So, I am a bit bummed about my birthday and not being able to go to a baseball game! Missing the Angels for sure!
3. Taxes. Need I say more?
4. Still living in an apartment. I know i should be grateful for a roof over my head, and I am truly grateful, but all this house shopping and browsing over the internet really makes me want a house that we can make a home sooner rather than later!
Be sure to go check out every one else's Happies and Crappies!
Oh and have a great weekend!

Random Thursday: Childhood Memory
Yet another Random Thursday .... waaa waaa waaa
The topic for the week:
Hmmmm.....
Ok so i am going to consider under 18 as childhood!
If you disagree then maybe we can have a chat about age!
I am gonna have to see if i can dig for some photos... hold on... i'll be right back!
I'm back! And just like i thought, I do not have any pictures handy to share with you. Sad face!
(For the record.... I am super tired and so much to do before bed tonight!)
So, my one favorite memory from my childhood was an entire trip to Europe with my church during the summer between my junior and senior years of high school in 1997!
We went to 4 different countries in 2 weeks and it was awesome!
Here are some places we saw:
(Pictures were obviously found elsewhere!)
Amsterdam
Ignore the person on the bike, that is not me, but i was there once!
Rome
It was so hot when we were here! I remember thinking "can this tour be over?" Stinks that i didn't listen more carefully!
By bus we traveled through Italy and got to see Assisi, Florence and Milan!
Switzerland
Paris
Along with the places that we traveled to, it really was an awesome tip with a great group of friends! I am even still friends with some of the people i traveled with! It was definitely a combination between the places and the people to make this memory a great one!
So, what was your favorite childhood memory?

This is How We Move
Many of you who have followed this blog knew that my hubby and I moved right before Christmas (three days before Christmas day to be exact!). I had quite the system and though i know many of you may not be moving, here's the system I used.
I figure you can just
and save it for later use!
I began scouring Pinterest and found a couple great resources:

and this one was awesome!

Both of these pins really came in HANDY!
The second pin (above) was where i started my whole organization process!
I began by printing Shannon's freebie and then made a copy for each room.
We made a packet for rooms like Living/Dining Room, Closet Bedroom, Kitchen, Office, etc. Then I labeled each packet with a certain color label to color code the whole process.
When we packed I would write down the contents of each box plus make two colored labels with the box number for each box. Each colored label also had the box number written down twice. I then placed each label on opposite corners of the box, essentially folding the label over the corner of the box. And then did it for the diagonal corner of the same box. The number of the box and colored label were visible no matter what side of the box you were looking at. I did have to use packaging tape to go over each label to prevent the labels from peeling off. In addition to this, I added a G or A to all four sides of the box near the label to tell us whether the box would be going into the garage or into the apartment. This could easily be changed to different letters like S for storage or H for house.

Overall this system worked out great and when it came time for friends to help us, they had an easier time figuring out where a box would be going. We had a ton to stuff into our garage so it saved us a few trips up two flights of stairs with heavy items.
I hope this helps you when you move and if you recently moved, i missed you this time around, i guess just pin it and save it for next time!
